Personal laws play very significant roll in our society because large part of the disputes is being regulated by the personal laws. There is valuable contribution of Hindu law in personal laws. Hindu law is divided into tow parts i.e., Codified Hindu Laws and Uncodified Hindu Laws.

This book is only covered on the Uncodified Hindu Laws. Uncodified Hindu Laws means those provisions of Hindu laws not enacted by parliament but enforce on the basis of Hindu methodology and philosophy since time immemorial. The sources of Uncodified Hindu Law is Shruti, Smriti, Digest and Commentaries, Custom and Equity Justice and Good Conscious.

The references of this book are taken from original texts such as Smiriti, Mitakshra, Dayabhaga and other religious books vis-a-vis the comments of the law experts are also included in this book.
