Knock or crash detect sensors are very popular in the applications where you want to ensure the safety of the equipment or the person operating that equipment in event of a crash or excessive vibration which can cause damage to any of them. The Ky031 Knock Sensor Module does exactly the same thing. It has a wire enclosed in a glass enclosure which gets shorted and complete the circuit if the vibrations exceed a certain limit thereby sending a signal on the output pin which can be read by your microcontroller such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi etc. You can set for time delay or the number of instances the output is coming in your program logic to activate the safety devices accordingly. This module can work on both 5V and 3.3V power supply and is extremely easy to use.
