Static discharge palm plate is a safety device used to drain accumulated electrostatic charge from a person's body before they enter an Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA). It serves as a designated, safe grounding point to protect sensitive electronics, machinery, and volatile environments from sudden static shock.
How to Use: –
Step 1. Mount This Palm Plate Just Out of your ESD Safe Area with help of screws
Step 2. Take the Grounding Cord from clip side and connect it the Grounding/Earthing Point
Step 3. Take the Grounding cord From Button side and put & Press it on the Button on Plate to connect
Step 4. All Done! Now Before Entering in ESD safe area just Place your Palm on the Plate 3 Seconds and it
will remove all static charge from your Body
Key Components:
- Conductive Surface: Usually a stainless steel plate or a dual-layer static-dissipative rubber pad mounted on an insulated acrylic backing.Grounding Cord: A high-flexibility cable that connects the touch plate directly to an established facility earth point.
- Safety Resistor: A built-in 1 to 2.2 Megohm resistor embedded in the grounding line to prevent the risk of hazardous electrical feedback or shock to the user.
- Mounting: The device is installed at chest or waist height right outside the entrance of an ESD-safe workspace.
- Contact: Personnel place their bare hand flat against the plate, ensuring total surface coverage.
- Draining: The body's built-in electrical potential safely flows down to the earth within 2 to 5 seconds.Verification:
