1/2 W (0.5 W) carbon film resistors with ±5% tolerance, from 10 Ω to 10 MΩ, listed from lowest to highest value. Use them where a standard 1/4 W resistor would run too hot.

Colour code: Black 0, Brown 1, Red 2, Orange 3, Yellow 4, Green 5, Blue 6, Violet 7, Grey 8, White 9. Bands 1 and 2 are digits, band 3 is the number of zeros (Gold = ÷10) and the gold 4th band means ±5%. Example: Brown, Black, Red, Gold = 1K.
