SOCIAL EXCLUSION AND INCLUSION BY S. GURUSAMY (HARDCOVER)

This book is an outcome of the research papers presented in various technical sessions in the National Seminar on Social Exclusion and Marginalisation: The Human Rights Education Perspective organized with the funding support form UGC, New Delhi in the Department of Sociology, Gandhi gram Rural Institute -Deemed University. This book also carries the key-note address paper of Dr. Justice A.R. Lakshmanan, Former Judge of Supreme Court of India and Former Chairman Law Commission of India and Thematic paper of Prof. S. Gurusamy Professor of Sociology and Seminar Director. The focused issues deliberated in the seminar were Social Exclusion and Marginalisation had been the major issue in almost all sessions with specific segments like Dalit and Adivasi: Human Rights Perspective, Women and Children Perspective, The Elderly Persons and Economic Dimensions, Dimensions and Implications, Inclusive Growth, Plight of Transgender, Human Rights Education in Curriculum etc. in addition two Symposia were also organized with the focus on Social Exclusion and Marginalisation in Indian Society and HRE in Curriculum.
