Teacher Education programme should built upon a strong foundation. There is a need to equip our teachers with the ideas of change. Only a competent teacher can bring desirable changes in the students and in the community and such teachers are called Nation builders. The inadequate teacher preparation at the secondary level causes lots of problem in helping students in developing appropriate attitude and learning skills. This observation of the investigator made to investigate the factors effecting teaching competence of pre service teachers.
